Inspired By Mom
I love my mom. She’s my hero, my friend, my supporter, and a strong female that I’ve admired my whole life. I’ve learned so much from her. She taught me the value of hard work, never accepting “no” even when others do not believe in you, and to go for your dreams even when the road is rocky.
My mom’s “no fear” attitude helped me to be brave growing up. When she taught me to downhill ski at 3 years old, I thought it was most fun to “hotdog” or, in other words, go as fast as possible straight down the steepest black diamond hills. Although I’m a bit more careful with my body in adulthood, this trait has helped me tremendously to push beyond my fears in all aspects of life. I have to thank my mom for instilling that fearlessness in me and letting me “hotdog” down the slopes all day long.
What are the best things you learned from your mom?
Thank you to all the moms for being amazing roll models and incredible inspirations.
