There’s no doubt about it: Learning can have major benefits for careers of all levels. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been teaching for decades or a year. Here are five reasons why our upcoming Continuing Education Workshops can be a valuable investment in yourself:

  • You’ll become more versatile and indispensable. Continuing education helps you learn the tools necessary to work with a vast array of clients and meet their varying needs.
  • Communicate effectively. Ever wish that you could communicate your knowledge better to your clients? Continuing education workshops will help you learn new imagery and cueing to help you do so.
  • Change careers altogether. Not sure if Pilates teacher training is right for you? Perhaps starting with a 2 hour workshops will give you a taste of what it is all about and help you make the right decision. Or, take the plunge and sign up for one of our courses.
  • Break into the industry. Completed your Pilates teacher training but still don’t feel ready to begin teaching? Workshops are a great way to add to your exercise repertoire, get your brain ticking and network with other instructors.
  • Stay current with your certification. In most professions it takes work every year to stay current, to be fresh and up to date. Pilates is no different, and we’re glad. There’s so much to learn in this field – new research and teaching skills. Completing your annual CECs not only keeps up in the know but also keeps your certification current.

Athletic Conditioning on the Cardio Tramp Rebounder

12:15-2:15pm

In this workshop, developed by the Merrithew team, participants learn innovative new programming on the Reformer and Cardio-Tramp® Rebounder. The workout, designed to stimulate both cardiovascular and muscular effectiveness is ideal for both the recreational and professional athlete. Discover how to combine progressive plyometric intervals, varying both in length and intensity, with muscular strength and endurance moves on the vertical mini trampoline. The routine features non-traditional Pilates exercises that use the incredible diversity of the Reformer to effectively train both concentric and eccentric muscular ability.

Essential Matwork with a Fascial Focus

2:30-4:30pm

This workshop provides instructors tools to incorporate new fascial research concepts within the body of the STOTT PILATES Essential Matwork repertoire. Following the Essential Matwork order, participants explore how exercise essences can be enhanced with new fascial research concepts, inspiring a new movement experience. Created by the experts at Merrithew, discover seamless movement flowing exercise sequences that take the body through multiple planes of movement. This workshop will spark creativity in programming and allow participants to tap into their innate body wisdom to find alternate variations that best suit their movement potential on any given day.

Stability Chair Flow Workout

4:45-6:45pm

Breathe new life into your chair workouts by involving the spring resistance of the Split-Pedal Stability Chair with flowing choreography that encompasses the entire body. In this innovative workshop developed by the programming team at Merrithew, learn how to fully mobilize the spine, hips and shoulders while integrating fascial awareness. Progressive sequences incorporate full flexion, extension and spiral movements that help unleash tensions and muscular restrictions. Enjoy the benefits of this invigorating workout that will revitalize body and soul.
